It would seem that the last great hurdle for those of us using CTRT, EQdkp, and DKP Log Parser is the "bench" (players waiting to get in a raid). I'm sure many of you would like to reward your bench players with attendance and/or DKP, but the combination of technologies we use to administer DKP are not supporting of bench management.
Ultimately, I would love to see a "Bench Members" area for each interval and allow the DKP admin to place the bench members into those intervals. Members on the bench are ignored when calculating DKP for an interval, but are then added to the interval to receive attendance. Additionally, adjustments are applied to reduce their DKP earned to 0 so that they are only awarded with attendance for the bench and not DKP.
What other solutions do guilds use for bench management? |

I can only talk for my own raid...
we dont use any "bench-management" ... we are working "just in time". That means: if someone has to go, he has to say this at least 15 minutes before. So the 1 which fill in his place (mostlikly farming at that moment) can easily reach just in time the instance.
Tbh, i dont see any reason to give members in the waitingline points... they dont spend pots, golds or nerves in the encounter and the raidleader ^^.
How are other guilds/raids handling this ? |

The motivation to provide attendance to people on the bench is to track the people who show up on time and stay in game, but do not get in the raid. If 60 people logon for a 40 man raid, 20 people are left high and dry and we're trying to reward them in some manner.
Any thoughts? |
