I'd like to write a pattern to use this DKP Log Parser with the online game: FFXI (Final Fantasy XI), is there any way I can write one? Or basically HOW? I can't seem to find an example .txt to tutor me in it.

Basically FFXI lets a player have ONE character with MANY jobs up to level 75
E.g. Cataluna: White Mage 75
Cataluna: Black Mage 75
Cataluna: Red Mage 75

This program would be useful for Dynamis (Raid) if only I could use a pattern to parse it to the DKP script.

It pretty much works like Everquest with /who but instead of /who FFXI uses /sea (for /search) followed by a name

Is there anyway I can do this?

The patterns are based on regular expressions in Java. If you want them to work like the /who patterns for EQ then your best bet would probably be to start out from them and then modify them to fit the ouput of FFXI's log. The pattern documentation for classic patterns might also come in handy.

Feel free to ask questions if you run into trouble. If you have questions about how to modify a certain regexp to fit your output then please remember to attach samples of the log output in question.

Please also post the resulting patterns when you're done, so that others may benefit from them.
