|

Hey all. I am hoping some kind soul spends a few minutes helping me out. I have been appointed as the designer of our new EQDKP site and we have finally agreed on the rules for assigning DKP.
Guild Rules:
DKP for participation: 1DKP per hour
Boss Kills: Ignored
On Time Bonus: 1DKP at Raid Start
If Possible: Duration Bonus DKP (1)
For players who are online for more than 90% of raid attendances.
After reading these boards I can see most of this is possible with this parser. GREAT! If others can share similar configurations that would rock.
However, I am wondering how people deal with Alt/Drop Raid.
We have a very active guild and we have 30-35 players that login each day for 25 man raids. This means 5-10 players will be benched at all times. Since our raid leader determines lineups it is not always the players fault he is benched. Sometimes we just need different class structures.
So, We wish to assign DKP to these members even if they drop raid for quests or if they choose to log an alt while we raid.
How do other guild assign DKP to players who drop raid for quests?
Is this possible with this parser? |

Alts can be handled by using member aliases.
I see three possibilities for dealing with people who have to sit out of the raid:
- List them in the participation by e.g. having everyone that should be rewarded sitting in a certain chat channel (this depends on what game you're playing). Another option would be to list all guild members currently online, but you might have guild members online that are neither raiding nor sitting outside.
- Add them by using commands. If you e.g. play EQ2 then you could write a macro that lists everyone present and then issues an add command for everyone sitting outside (updating the macro at the start of every raid).
- Add them manually after having parsed the log. I really don't recommend doing this as it would be tedious to have to add several people every raid.

Lokorin,
I should ahve mentioned this is warcraft. Sorry.
I will read the Alt Mapping section. Thank you.

I am hoping you can expand on this.
From what i understand, you are suggesting having members who drop raid join a channel? Example: LitanyAttend
The Parser can actually monitor the channel? How would I do this?
Also, I assume that whoever does the parsing can make alterations to specific members before upload? |

I have not seen anyone do that in WoW. It would require the raid tracker (is it still called CT RT?) to be monitoring a channel rather than the raid, and I'm not sure whether it can do that.

hmm ok, worst case senario we would need to track players who log an alt at periodic times and enter them manually into the parser during upload.
Does anyone know if there is an add on available that does the following?
Spam Guild Chat with a specific message on a timer and record responses?
I know elephant can be setup to record a specific chat channel.
So, if I could automate guild messages on a timer....
Basically we would setup a message to be spammed to guild chat once per hour. Then Elephant would record responses to our attendance channel and I could review the log after raid to capture players who dropped for questing...
I know NRT (Nihilsm Raid Tracker) has something like this but I dont didn't love it.
Anyone have any other thoughts on how to do this?
I don't believe CT_RaidTracker has an option to monitor channel activity. |
