The error displayed is reported by the plugin on the server. What it means is that the plugin for some reason can not parse the request sent to it by the client.

I would guess that there has been some kind of change on the server which caused the behavior to change. If you haven't made any recent changes to the plugin then I would suspect it being because of some sort of software upgrade on the server. PHP 5.2.2 and PHP 4.4.7 were recently released, it could have something to do with that.

Do you know if there have been any recent software upgrades on the server?
Can you check which version of PHP the server is running?

I have attached a new build of the plugin with an updated xml-rpc library. Please install it and tell me whether it works or not.

My server upgraded from mysql 4.0 to mysql 4.1, this caused the same error on my site. Trying your updated plugin now.

I have reproduced the bug by upgrading to php 5.2.2 and filed it as EDSI15. A fix should hopefully be on the way as soon as I understand what's failing.

*update*

It seems to be some kind of quirk or new feature in the underlying XML-RPC parser. I will see if I can find some fix, but I can't give any time estimate.

It was a bug in PHP 5.2.2. A new version of the plugin, version 1.3.2g, is now available. It contains a fix which should make the plugin work with PHP 5.2.2 .
