Hi,
you know, i used this software more or less in the last months, and installed now the new versions. Due to the fact, that in my opion a things are still to difficult for me, i see my self in the case of this program as a DAU.
I will try to reflect a few things and questions which came up my mind as i'm playing around with the program right now.
I know, a few things are not finished yet, and i hope you dont mind, that i will spam here a bit, because i will work with the program in steps.
- After the installation, i was looking for the "Configuration-Wizard".
I searched nearly 2 minutes, because i couldnt find it. Tbh, in my opinion the "Conf-Wizard" should be in the area of the "Preferences" just because they are handling the same functions.
- Working with the "Conf-Wizard" i came to the point of "Predefined Sets". Playing World of Warcraft, i scrolled down, finding different describtions as in the old version (at that point, i played around with the "try and error"-method). Today i wanted to find out, what is the meaning of the 4 sets.
First of all, i checked: http://wiki.lokorin.com/wiki/DKP_Log_Parser#World_of_Warcraft .
Problem: on the side are still the old definitions, and you cant be sure, which old definition belongs to the new one.
Second, i checked the new "help". Well,... after 5 minutes of reading and thinking ( i should really do this, then i am not so sleepy ) i didnt found the solution, but i have an idea where i can find it. (Better than nothing i think^^).
I dont know how other users think, but i will tell you how I do it:
If i am in the "Configuration-wizard" I see the following options:
World of Warcraft (CT RT oldformat 1)
World of Warcraft (CT RT oldformat 1, price in note)
World of Warcraft (CT RT oldformat 0)
World of Warcraft (CT RT oldformat 0, boss kills as events)
And i think, what the heck does this mean? What do i have to use ? So i call up the "Help", and i see in big letters:
CT Raidtracker versions less than 1.25.8
CT RaidTracker (pre 1.25. , price in note
CT RaidTracker (post 1.25.
CT RaidTracker (post 1.25.8, boss kills as events)
Ok, if you are intelligent like me, you can see the link due to "price in note" or "boss kills as events". If you are not, you think ... hell, what does this have to do with each other ?
Edit: ... my mind is crashing atm, so many words spreading around, so much confusing... if you dont mind, i will think about a totally rewritten part of that help.
