I'm checking out this software with the hopes that it will help streamline our dkp entry and save some time. I must have done something wrong though, because I can connect to our server but all I see is a blank window (well 2 of them, vertically stacked). When I try to edit the roster, I can see all the names of past attendees as logged by the eqdkp listing but can't do anything with them. I've installed the JRE 5.0 to make sure that wasn't the problem, and it still persists.
I'm not quite sure how to go about troubleshooting this. Should the Log Parser be executed from a specific directory? Currently I have it on my desktop, in the folder it was extracted into (which includes the library and other files it came with). Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance. |

DKPLP is used to calculate and commit awarded DKP to e.g. EQDKP, not to alter existing data.
DKPLP will (after having entered a log) display the DKP awarded for the logged raid in the blank windows. After reviewing that data you can send it to the EQDKP plugin, which will add it to the existing data in EQDKP. |

Thanks for the quick reply Lokorin. I didn't mean to imply that I wanted to alter EQdkp through the program, only that I see nothing but blank windows. Whenever I try to input a string from CT Raid Tracker, I get this error message:
| Quote: |
| Nothing in the log matched the parse patterns |
and the Details button is grayed out.
I was reading through other threads here to try and find a fix for this without posting a duplicate thread, but wasn't able to find anything that worked. It seems like the server settings aren't staying saved. If I go into Edit>Preferences, the Server URL and Server Software Interface entries are correct, but when I click on Parsing, the box beside "Set Pattern" always defaults to "Games" when I open the window, even after I have already chosen the Pattern I want and click "Set Pattern" before closing it. I'm trying to use 'World of Warcraft (CT RT oldformat 0, boss kills as events)'. Is it supposed to revert like that, after every time you close the Preferences window? I'm assuming that may be part of my trouble... |

The patterns are copied to your configuration when you click the "Set Pattern" button. Hence what the droplist contains only matters when the button is clicked (hence it's not a problem that the droplist reverts to "Games").
You might want to test whether the "oldformat 1" patterns work any better. It might also depend on what version/flavor of CT RaidTracker you're using as there appears to be a few different out there, maybe this post is related?
If that doesn't work and have the members in the member list then feel free to attach or pm the string and your configuration and I will have a look. |
