I just downloaded this as my guild wants to move from an Event based to a Time based dkp system for EQ.
Some of the things I am having problems with and cant seem to navigate to get answers through the program are:
1) The Main Screen does not look at all like the one shown on the website. I have 2 window boxes with multiple tabs. How do I get mine to mimic the one you have shown on your web page?
2) I can get a raid to pull up for parsing (listed by dates) but I can not see anywhere that I can list the name of the raid. How do you do this?
3) When I goto EQDP and upload a raid, it uploads it per every interval of participation and not an overall night. So for tracking I show multiple entries and not just one single one, saying XYZ night so and so earned so much dkp. How do I get a single entry and not multiples?
4) I am manually having to input loot won during a raid? Is there a way that it can autodetect who won? The values do change per item but can it be done automatically?
Once I get these answered, it should get me going a long way. I am not terribly computer literate so manuevering through the help pages is a chore and the guide does not seem to be very user friendly to me. I could be the exception but I have a few of the other officers in my guild trying this too and we are all running into some of the same issues.

As I have been playing around with this some more I have been able to just input a single event, answering question 3.
One additional question I have with the interval, I am trying to set the interval rating for 3 points every 30 minutes and what it is doing is setting 3 points for the entire raid then breaking down into intervals.
How do I set it for 3dkp per interval? |

Those images are a bit outdated, the wiki's interface screenshots are accurate though.

If you mean the day selection dialog, then it only displays dates. The raid name can be entered (or grabbed from the log) once the appropriate day has been selected though.

Yes this can be done automatically by altering the loot pattern, e.g. the classic loot pattern if you're running in classic mode. If you're running a predefined pattern set, such as "EverQuest /who" then there are loot commands, so you can for instance tell a channel "*Loot Sword of Uber - Lokorin - 200" to add a loot item. If you need it to trigger on something different then please post a sample and someone might help.

You're not alone, the documentation is not very user-friendly simply because it's written by the developers who take everything for granted since they know the system inside-out. The wiki can be edited by anyone, so feel free to help improve it.

It depends on what parse modes you're using (what game?). If you're running classic mode then you can take the logs 30 minutes apart and then set the default DKP bonus per participant option to 3. If you're running a join/leave mode then you can set the interval size to 30 and do the same as above, or set the added participant bonus per minute option to 0.1 (this will give DKP per minute though). |
