From DKPLP Doc
The edit menu contains commands to control the configuration of the program, and the module which manages the set of characters eligible to accrue DKP: traditionally this is the raiding members of the guild.

Preferences
The preferences contain extensive controls for managing the configuration of the program and how DKP is accrued. Multiple copies of preferences can be saved (using the 'save as' and 'load' commands), allowing for DKPLP to be used with multiple configurations across multiple servers. The 'reset' button sets all options back to their defaults. The 'cancel' button forgets any changes made since the last save or load.

Member List
This dialog controls the member list used by the program, including details of any alias mappings. Only the people listed in the member list are eligible to receive DKP: people present on a raid who are not in the member list will generate a suspected error. The member list and alias mappings displayed is the local copy used by the program. Any changes made are only held locally until the connection with the server is established at which point the changes will be merged with the member list and alias list on the server. Any changes to the alias mapping will require a file to be parsed again for the mapping to take effect.
Adding a member
Typing in a member name on the left hand side and pressing the "Add" button will add a member to the list. Names are case-sensitive.
Removing a member
Selecting a name on the left hand side and pressing the "Remove" button removes a name from the local member list. For security reasons it is not possible to remove a member from the server member list: this needs to be done through the web interface of the server directly.
Add a member alias (alt mapping)
Where DKP is accrued per player, rather than per character, it's possible to use the alias functionality to provide a mapping from alts to mains. This will automatically translate any alt name into the name of the main character. When data is uploaded to the server, the main character name is seen, rather than the alt character name. To add an alias, select the main character name in the member list on the left hand side, enter the alt name on the right hand side in the alias box, and press the right-hand alias "Add" button. The mapping will appear in the alias box.
