A reward interval is a period of time to which DKP is accrued. A reward interval has a number of participants present in it to which the DKP value is rewarded. The time intervals of the initially created reward intervals is determined by the parse mode used on the log file, but is usually either due to attendance lists being taken, or by members joining or leaving the raid.

Participation

A reward interval's participation is defined by the intersection of participants at both ends of the interval, padded by the reward interval's padding. If the reward interval padding is strictly greater than half of the reward interval's size then the participation is defined as the participation at the reward interval's middle.

Examples

If a reward interval spans 10:00:00 to 11:00:00 and the reward interval padding is 60 seconds then the participation of the reward interval is equal to the intersection of the participation at 10:01:00 and 10:59:00.

If a reward interval spans 10:00:00 to 10:01:00 and the reward interval padding is 60 seconds then the participation of the reward interval is equal to the participation at 10:00:30.

Length

A reward interval's length is measured in the number of minutes that it occupies. A reward interval is said to occupy a minute if and only if the minute was started during the interval.
