This article is about the menu. For the term, see Server.

The server menu provides commands for interacting with the server: connecting, uploading and downloading.

Contents

Connect/Disconnect

This command allows the user to establish or break the connection with the server. When connected, the member list is automatically synchronised. Depending on the connectivity configuration, other information may be downloaded at the moment of connection and or uploaded on disconnection.

Upload

Information can be uploaded on demand to the server, separately to the connectivity settings. If the client isn't already connected to the server, the request to upload will establish a connection.

Day

This is how you go about uploading the raid data to the server! You'll be using this command a lot. How the information is displayed on the server is dependant on the uploads preferences.

Configuration

Use this command to upload the configuration of the DKPLP client to the server, which other people can then download and start using.

Completions

Use this command to upload the autocompletions database to the server, for other people to download and start using.

Member list

Use this command to upload the list of members to the server that other people can then download to use. This performs a strict upload, overwriting the server list with the local copy (if you are not already connected). The connect to server on startup will download the server member list on startup and is recommended operation before beginning to parse a log, so that any manual uploads do not overwrite the server copy with old data. Likewise with the download members command.

Member aliases

Use this command to upload the list of member aliases to the server that other people can then download to use.

Download

Information can be downloaded on demand from the server, separately to the connectivity settings. If the client isn't already connected to the server, the request to download will establish a connection.

Configuration

Use this command to download the configuration of the DKPLP client from the server, which other people have previously uploaded.

Completions

Use this command to download the autocompletions databases from the server, that other people have previously uploaded.

Member list

Use this command to download the list of members from the server. This performs a strict download, overwriting the local copy with the server lists. The connect to server on startup will also download the server member list on startup. Downloading the latest copy of the member list from the server (via auto-connect or manual operation) is recommended before beginning to parse a log, so that the log parse has the latest member list to work from.

Member aliases

Use this command to download the list of member aliases from the server that other people have previously uploaded.

Specification Number

DKPLP is designed to connect to any server supporting the appropriate specification interface. At this time, EQDKP is the only system providing support via the DKPLP plugin. This command queries the server for the version of the specification that it supports. The client will need to be connecteded for this command to work.
