The version update dialog can be accessed from the menu. It is an simple implementation of JUpdater's client interface. The dialog will start by contacting the server and then check for any available updates. A lot of text will fly by, most of it is not important, but might be nice if you're wondering what it's actually doing. After a while (hopefully just a couple of seconds) one of two things will happen.
Everything is up to date
The last line will say that everything is up to date and one can then close the dialog knowing that there are no new versions.
There is an update available
If there is information about the changes made between the local version and the server version, then they are displayed in an output dialog. If there is an update then a confirmation box will pop up, from which one can then choose whether or not to update. If one clicks No then the update check will stop and one can close the dialog.
If one chooses to download the update then the program will automatically start downloading all new classes and patch everything. When the update is complete one will be asked to restart the program. Using the program without restarting might lead to unexpected results, so always shut down the program and start it again. One can check the version number in the about dialog to make sure that the update was successful.
